Robin Sellin and Johannes Heger aka. Nature in the City crossed paths for the first time in Boston, where they studied music at the prestigious Berklee College of Music. This experience, far away from familiar grounds, formed a deep bond between the two friends. Icy winters, Indian summers and the magical surroundings of a vibrant community of global musicians has forged the heartbeat of their music. Following in the footsteps of acts like Simon and Garfunkel, Jack Johnson and John Mayer, Nature in the City play their own unique blend of groovy-poppy folk-rock.
With double bass, western guitar, bass drum, tambourine and sweet harmonies, the duo often sounds like more than just two people on stage.
Flowing softly, the lyrics and stories in their songs convey that Robin and Johannes are pensive, yet optimistic people, who always maintain a core of hope, even during melancholic passages.
After the release of their debut album, Nature in the City hit the road hard for many years, appearing among other festivals at “Feel” Festival, “Rocken am Brocken” and “Artlake” Festival. Their albums “Time” and “Nature in the City” are available on all online platforms.
